The 110th Grey Cup is in Hamilton this weekend. Sadly, (at least for me) the BC Lions didn’t make it to the championship game. It will be the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Montreal Alouettes fighting it out for the big trophy on Sunday.
Even though the Lions are aren’t playing in the game, I’ll still probably end up watching at least some of it, if not all of it. The Grey Cup is one of those occasions where you watch the game as part of a group with your family and/or friends.
I’m sure I’m the same as most people; I am far more likely to watch the championship game or championship series if “my” team is playing in it. I’m definitely less likely to watch if the team I cheer for isn’t in the game or series. How about you, do you still make a point of watching the championship if “your” team isn’t playing? I suppose it’s still worth watching just for the snacks, no matter who is playing! 😋
