It’s a little earlier than normal, but because of kids’ work schedules, weather forecasts, etc. I think this is the weekend that my family is going to go pick out our Christmas tree. It’s always an adventure that the whole family takes part in — looking through what seems like the entire forest for what everyone agrees is the perfect tree.

After everyone has agreed on a tree, it is carefully cut down, with everyone taking a turn on the saw. All the while trying to keep that cut as straight as possible.
Once the tree is cut down, then it’s a matter of getting it home…

Once at home is when you really know what your tree is like. Is it too big? Is it too thin? Does it fit in the stand? Does it stand straight in the stand? Somehow, after all those questions get answered it always turns out to be the perfect Christmas tree.
