NANAIMO — Police are looking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted for allegedly stabbing a person in downtown Nanaimo earlier this year.
Joshua Seibel, 36, is wanted for one count of aggravated assault in connection to an incident on April 14 near the Port Place Mall parking lot, where one person was stabbed, with blood traces found near the TD Bank on Nicol St.
At the time, police believed an altercation broke out between two people just before 2:00 p.m., where one of them was stabbed, but the suspect was not located at the time.
The investigation has led to Seibel being identified as allegedly being responsible.
Seibel is described as a Caucasian man, 5’10”, 150 lbs., with blond hair and blue eyes, and the photo provided is recent.
His whereabouts are currently unknown, and he has no fixed address.
Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact the nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
