QUALICUM BEACH — An Alberni Hwy. crash between Whiskey Creek and Coombs at Pratt Rd resulted in several injuries.
The multi-vehicle crash happened on Sunday, June 22 just after 12:00 p.m., according to a statement from BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS).
Multiple emergency responders converged on scene, including an ambulatory helicopter.
“Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to five patients who were transported to hospital in stable condition by ground ambulance,” stated BCHES public information officer Brian Twaites.
Detours were established as a temporary highway closure was implemented.
Additional information from Oceanside RCMP has been requested regarding circumstances leading up to the crash.
