NANAIMO — A collision between a dirt biker rider and vehicle in rural Ladysmith resulted in an air ambulance transporting one person to hospital.
BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) were informed about a collision occurring on Thursday, May 19 at 10:55 a.m. on Timberlands Rd. at Ninatti Rd.
The teenage rider was flown to hospital, BCEHS stated, whose condition is currently unknown.
A BCEHS chopper was dispatched shortly after the incident, which landed at a nearby gravel pit.
Members of the Cranberry Volunteer Fire Dept. assisted BCEHS crews on scene.
The rider was hit in the area of a sharp bend in the road where Timberlands Rd. and Ninatti Rd. meet, west of Nanaimo Airport.
