NANAIMO — Three COVID-19 outbreaks at health facilities in Nanaimo are now over, according to Island Health.
The outbreaks on the fourth and fifth floor of the general medicine unit at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital are now over.
26 patient cases were attributed to the fourth-floor outbreak, while 18 patient cases were attributed to the fifth-floor outbreak.
Both outbreaks remained limited to the respective floors.
The outbreak at Berwick on the Lake long-term care home in Nanaimo is also over. Eleven total resident cases and one staff case were attributed to the outbreak at the private facility on Long Lake.
