NANAIMO — A two-vehicle crash south of Nanaimo sent three people to hospital.
According to Nanaimo RCMP, the detachment responded to the intersection of Cedar and Haslam roads on Saturday, April 25, just before 12 p.m.
“All involved parties remained on scene and the investigation resulted in a Motor Vehicle Act violation ticket being issued to a 62-year-old female driver,” Cst. Blacklock told NanaimoNewsNOW in an e-mailed statement.
Shaun Payne, deputy chief of North Cedar Fire Rescue, confirmed a patient was extricated from a vehicle and flown to hospital for treatment of serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
He noted a helicopter landing zone was arranged to allow the aircraft to arrive and transport the patient.
Payne stated two other patients were transported to hospital via ground ambulance.
