PARKSVILLE — Search efforts are continuing to locate a man last seen walking into a wooded area by Horne Lake.
Twenty-nine year old Jordan Kirchner was last seen by a friend walking into the backcountry on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at around 6 p.m. The friend told police they are concerned for Kirschner’s well-being.
Crews from Arrowsmith Search and Rescue, along with Oceanside RCMP were deployed to the area but were unable to locate Kirchner.
Residents in the area reported seeing a helicopter flying in the region for an extended period of time.
Kirchner is described as 5’11” tall, weighing around 165 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Police are not certain what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.
No photo of Kirchner has been released by Oceanside RCMP.
