NANAIMO — The driver of a semi-truck involved in a major collision on the Nanaimo Parkway is recovering from her injuries.
Police said the 35-year-old woman’s condition in hospital is now listed as stable after she was taken from the scene with life threatening injuries.
The two trucks collided around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, approximately 200 metres north of Northfield Rd., shutting down traffic on Hwy. 19 until the mid-afternoon.
The 71-year-old driver of the other truck was uninjured in the crash.
An investigation into what caused the crash continues with police asking for any dash cam footage from the scene.
