NANAIMO — Police are looking for a man who caused significant damage to a south end Dollarama.
The man was seen leaving the store near the corner of Bruce Ave. and Fifth St. around 9 p.m. on Monday, March 29. A fire was reported inside the store shortly after.
“Although the fire was contained to one aisle it caused extensive damage to the interior of the business,” Cst. Gary O’Brien said in a release.
O’Brien said the man in question was seen inside the store for upwards of 15 minutes before the blaze was reported. They left through the rear door with a shopping cart.
The man is roughly 6 ft. 5 with a thin build.
