NANAIMO – More COVID-19 cases were discovered at the most recent outbreak within Island Health.
Three additional residents were discovered to have COVID-19 through tests performed on Thursday, March 25.
The tests were facility wide after five residents were confirmed to have COVID-19.
So far, eight residents have tested positive out of the 106 COVID-19 tests done.
The facility, operated by Atria Retirement Canada, is under lockdown with no admissions allowed beyond essential visitors.
On Friday, Island Health announced its worst day yet for new COVID-19 cases.
