PARKSVILLE — Police are sifting through the few details available from an early morning stabbing.
Oceanside RCMP were called to the 900 block of Fairdowne Rd. in Parksville around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 7 and found “more questions than answers,” according to a release.
A 39-year-old man was allegedly stabbed multiple times in the lower back by two men after an altercation.
Police said the victim was uncooperative both at the scene and in hospital when recovering from the stabbing.
The woman who called in the stabbing, a friend of the victim, had run away from the scene.
Police don’t believe this was a random incident.
Anyone who heard or saw anything is urged to call Oceanside RCMP.
