NANAIMO – 10 people within Island Health received an unfortunate Christmas present on Christmas Eve.
Island Health reporting 10 new cases of COVID-19 within the health authority on Thursday, Dec. 24.
There’s currently 65 cases active, with 22 found in our central Island region.
Across B.C., a further 582 cases were announced by the province. A majority were in the Vancouver Coastal and Fraser health regions, as they have been for months.
There’s currently 8,865 active cases in B.C. with another roughly 9,700 people being monitored after coming in contact with an active case.
A further 12 people passed away.
