NANAIMO – Witnesses say a driver attempting to turn onto Labieux Rd. hit a motorbike with two men aboard.
It happened just before 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30 on Labieux Rd. at Blackburn Pl, one block north of the Jingle Pot Rd. intersection.
“A car came off Blackburn, just as the car came out, they hit instantly,” witness Cory Scott told NanaimoNewsNOW on scene, who said the motorbike was traveling north on Labieux.
Another witness said both motorbike riders were fully responsive and wearing helmets.
They were tended to by paramedics and taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
Police interviewed the occupants of the car, which had front end damage.
The incident temporarily shut down rush-hour traffic as emergency crews tended to the scene.
The scene was littered with remnants from both vehicles.
